The team’s overarching priority is to maximize the benefits of digital engineering across the lifecycle of a project from concept through design, manufacture, assembly and operation. This position requires a blend of advanced digital expertise, strong partnership with Marketing teams, and an advanced appreciation for driving business results through technology to build responsive online experiences. This is a hands-on role where the manager is expected to contribute to technical solutions while leading a team.

Key responsibilities include:
· Lead the Digital Engineering team to execute innovative designs in application development
· Contribute creatively to the design and development process
· Outstanding technical leadership; able to coordinate and direct all phases of product-based efforts while developing and guiding the teams
· Work with Product Owners, Business Owners, and SCRUM Masters to ensure Product Development Streams are properly resourced from an engineering perspective
· Collaborate with external partners who provide expertise in areas including database management, performance monitoring, and hosting
· Make technical recommendations related to macro and micro architecture. Conduct code reviews and technical reviews of documentation to ensure code is optimized for performance, speed, and accuracy. Ensure highest product quality by working closely with Quality Assurance team specifically on automated testing efforts. Execute on governance and performance optimization strategies.
· Research emerging technologies and work with Senior Leadership to make recommendations to the business with the goal of applying these technologies to current and future projects
· Contribute to various advanced technology initiatives from time to time
· Responsible for leading internal and external teams to build, maintain, and enhance our web presence; includes new site design, optimization, and a variety of family facing functionality to support our enrollment goals
· Incredibly strong partnership with Marketing resources to bring their vision alive through technology
· Strong understanding of our enrollment and retention goals and how to translate that into relevant technology
· Provide direction and managerial support to a web development team of internal and external resources
· Work closely with other IT and business leaders to consider all connections between applications, infrastructure, operations and data management
· Communicate effectively with the application team, peers, managers, and stakeholders
· Provide timely support on production applications issues

Key desired skills and experience:
· 8+ years of related experience required, including 5 years of web development, and 3+ years of supervisory experience
· Demonstrated expertise in strong relationship building and communication skills
· Proven track record of successfully leading and managing employees, managing performance, setting goals for team/individuals and mentoring
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
· Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology
· Assisted in integration architecture, designing and development of various distributed applications
· Extensive experience with CMS’s and CRM’s
· Experience in handling production support issues
· Experience in guiding development team to follow standards and procedures
· Experience in integrating different applications based on the design
· Quick learner with great desire to master new technologies
· Experience in Marketing automation including driving SEO, channel and campaign management, social media platforms, and other performance analytics
· Good analytical, presentation and communication skills
· Position requires a high degree of adaptability. Incumbent will be faced with a variety of issues on a day to day basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately while dealing with multiple priorities and task assignments.
