DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Lead Business Systems Analyst, you will support the design, development, and administration of SharePoint solutions that enhance business collaboration and efficiency. This position works closely with the Senior Business Systems Analyst to modernize and transform legacy SharePoint content, sites, and workflows into modern, user-friendly, and responsive experiences aligned with current business needs.
This BSA role serves as an integral part of the IT Department and may be called upon to perform other IT duties in addition to those detailed here.
You are expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum, and for all staff and other in-person meetings, including the 1st Thursday of every month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for SharePoint solutions
• Design and develop SharePoint sites, workflows, lists, libraries, and forms using out-of-the box features
• Provide support for SharePoint users, including troubleshooting issues and training end users on best practices
• Provide day-to-day administration of SharePoint environments, including user permissions, site maintenance, security settings, and troubleshooting
• Ensure modernized pages support responsive design, accessibility, and optimized
performance
• Assist in planning and executing migrations from classic SharePoint sites to modern frameworks
• Maintain documentation of site structures, permissions, and customization standards
• Create and manage content types, metadata, and taxonomies to support efficient information architecture
• Create and manage user stories and tasks in Azure DevOps or similar Agile project tracking tools
• Responds to user issues and finds solutions to resolve issues
• Provide issue management for end-user problems and ensure a consistent high-level responsiveness and customer care
• Trains users and documents usage guidelines and procedures
• Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a SharePoint focused Business Systems Analyst
• Demonstrated experience in systems, data and business analysis
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong working knowledge of SharePoint Online, particularly site design and modernization
• Experience using Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools
• Proven ability to convert outdated or static SharePoint content into dynamic, engaging, yet focused and maintainable solutions
• Familiarity with classic vs. modern SharePoint architecture and migration strategies
• Experience helping users migrate content from file shares to SharePoint Online
• Experience with ShareGate preferred
• Demonstrated ability to verbally, and in writing, communicate in a clear, concise and accurate manner
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative team environment
• Must be able to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings and groups
