Location: Portland, OR (partial wfh) 

Our Backend Software Developer will have a ground-up impact on our technology systems/services, business, and most importantly, our customers. An ideal candidate will be backend focused and have either Kotlin experience or Reactive Java skills and be familiar with the joys and challenges of working with microservices. They are innovative, adaptable, and have strong development skills allowing them to work collaboratively across teams to solve critical business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality code
  • Collaborate with Product and Design leads to drive business outcomes
  • Provides input on level of effort and risks to inform project scope
  • Collaborates well with other developers, team members, and engineering managers

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of Kotlin or Java, React & Spring Boot (or similar tech Redux, Node, Vue) (4+ Years for Sr. role)
  • 1+ years with React or similar tech (Redux, Node, Vue, Cosmos, Docker, Azure, and more)
  • Experience with Microservices
  • Strong attention to detail & Excellent communication skills
  • Azure Experience or similar tech
