Additional Information:
The Contract Software Quality Assurance Engineer, who will be located in Beaverton, OR, is responsible for testing, integration, and validation of a new products. Careful analysis and identification of quality issues with software is needed. This position specifically involves manual testing of hardware devices that run sophisticated firmware

Responsibilities:
• Test application (GUI) software in conjunction with networked audio/media systems running embedded software
• Test interaction scenarios with finished hardware devices
• Develop and document strategies for efficient testing of our products
• Develop, execute and maintain test cases
• Verify defect fixes, including regression testing of appropriate related areas
• Clearly communicate status
• Work effectively with remote teams

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements
• BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent professional experience
• Test writing experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and driven for success, though also able to take direction
• Methodical approach to problem solving with careful attention to details
• At least 3 years industry experience testing systems containing both hardware and software
• Basic understanding of networking (ISO model, switches, routers, TCP/IP, Telnet/SSH)
• Able to juggle multiple responsibilities concurrently while continuing to meet deadlines
• Must have a passion for understanding how audio products work
Desired skills:
• Experience testing embedded software
• Python Scripting
• Audio experience
