Job Summary
We’re currently looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join our growing technical team and drive the evolution of our technology infrastructure. Candidates should have a solid background in network fundamentals and server infrastructure in a datacenter environment. This is an intermediate technical position with a primary focus on incident and event management. This position will require interfacing with both internal and external customers professionally on a daily basis. This engineer role is expected to bring a positive attitude, focused on a continual-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities and Duties
Network Operations staff are responsible for:
• Infrastructure health monitoring and event management with a variety of tools, including Zabbix, Grafana, New Relic and CloudWatch
• Responding to infrastructure events by engaging on call resources via PagerDuty and Slack and providing rapid first response incident management
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for event and incident management
• Implementing new monitoring and alerting where there are gaps
• Drive and document changes on tuning infrastructure monitoring alerts
• Review, evaluate and provide recommendations on policies and procedures

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have reliable transportation to/from work and be available to work a shift between the hours of 3AM to 12PM. There may be coverage situations requiring weekend work.
• Associate’s Degree in Technology/Computer Science
• Strong verbal and text-based communication skills
• 3-5 years of Enterprise IT Experience
• 3 years of network administration exposure (Cisco and Juniper)
• 3 years of server administration exposure (Windows and Linux)
• 2-3 years of experience with enterprise communication tools (Slack/Skype/etc.)
• 1-2 years of incident management experience
• 1-2 years of event management experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/Computer Science
• 1-2 years of monitoring tools experience (New Relic, Zabbix, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• IT Certifications (CCNA, Network+, MCSA, Linux+)
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, JS, IOS)
• Exceptional analytical skills and solutions oriented
